Fantastic news. I'm hoping this means better choreography and better costumes too.
ETA: Ha, I already see so many negative comments on Twitter because of this. Hard for many Japanese to accept Orser as a good guy after "demonizing" him for so many years. Well, when he gives them their first Olympic gold in figure skating, they'll make him honorary citizen of Tokyo.![]()

I bet you Brian made sure a proper financial contract was drawn up before accepting Yuzuru!![]()
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.
Done!Yuzuru Hanyu to be coached by Brian Orser
Thanks for breaking the news, chika3!
ETA:
I enjoyed his performance - Arigato, YukiNieve!

I wouldn't call Japanese figure skating fans voicing their opinions on Twitter trolls. I think they are all entitled to their opinion. I was just looking at the tweets that popped up right after the announcement was made this morning.
I'm very happy with those I follow on Twitter, so I do not want to reconsider, at all.And there weren't that many I follow who commented about the coaching change. The tweets I read were based on a search. Lots of opinions - both positive and negative to the news.

Prince Ice World (PIW) shows just kicked off in Japan,
and Daisuke and Kanako skated new exhibition programs.
To have an idea, Daisuke's new exhibition program (Snoop Dogg) looks like this
(I guess the slo-motion is intentionally done to show his movements well):

Oh, and his new hair-do!![]()
^Thanks for the clip, loved it!
Kenji did the choreography for this exhibition quite a departure from the Crisis.
this is from the recent show in japan with Asada, Daisuke, kanako in the clips

Thanks! Are there enough videos or photos to start a separate thread in GSD for the Prince Ice World shows? I Googled and found these photos from the April 27 PIW show in Kanagawa: http://nipponnews.photoshelter.com/g...000IMw9xQyr3XQ
Miki Ando, Patrick Chan, Carolina Kostner, and Stéphane Lambiel are the listed guest skaters for Dreams on Ice, Japan's annual national skating exhibition show, June 15-17, 2012: http://www.onice.jp/DOI12/guests.html
(I figure a separate thread can be started for this show as the time draws nearer.)
