Can someone translate/explain the recent news about Taka? Because Google Translate is very confusing.

    News: http://www.sponichi.co.jp/entertainm...006003381.html
His reaction in his official blog: http://www.t-kozuka.com/blog/2013/06/post-edc7.html

So is it mazel tov or just a yellow press?

The story is that he is in a serious relationship with a 29-year old Fuji Television news announcer named Yurika Oshima. They reportedly met at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. In his blog, Kozuka doesn't confirm or deny the relationship. He just says he has been in the U.S. focusing on his skating from April through July, and that, in regards to the news story, she is one of the people who supports/understands him.

Is the local competition linked from this page? http://www.jsfresults.com/local/2012-2013/fs/index.htm
If yes, which one is it, please?

It's not linked from that, Sylvia. The name of the competition is All Kansai Figure Skating Championships. The result of the competition isn't open to public this season. But it had the website last season and this is the result page. Marin won Novice B1 by 56.05 last season. And this season, from fan repots mostly on twitter, she upped her jump contents as NMURA posted above. People tweeted she skated almost clean though she underrotated her 3Lo in the cascade.

She has a older brother and two younger sisters, and all of them are figure skaters. Taichi Honda, her older brother, won Junior Men at the same competition and he is competing at ISU junior competitions. Miu Honda, younger sister, is so famous as a TV talent in these couple of years. She competes at some local competitions and skates at shows like Art on Ice japan. Her youngest sister is at the age of around five, and she is so cute. Miu is the most famous one now but Marin is the most talented among them for sure.

Thank you VERY much, rosewood! The youngest Honda sister is named Sara, according to the caption of this fun fluff piece from Japanese Junior Nationals that shows brother Taichi Honda with his younger sisters and includes his Junior FS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTQCLFvGMhA

ETA that Marin Honda won the Advanced Novice Girls event at 2013 Triglav Trophy in late March (haven't found any videos) with a total score of 124.76. Her SP jumps were 3Lz<+2T, 3F, 2A (42.73); her FS jumps were 3Lz+2T, 2A+3T, 3F, 3Lz, 3Lo, 3S fall (82.03).

    2013-2014 season Japanese teams
    http://www.skatingjapan.or.jp/nation...hp?sports_id=2

Apparently, there is no change from the announcement in April.
Imai is remaining in the "B" category.

Following senior B's are listed in the "event informations" section.

Asian Open Trophy, Nebelhorn Trophy, O Nepela Trophy, Finlandia Trophy,
Merano Cup, Ice Challenge, NRW Trophy, Golden Spin of Zagreb
Challenge Cup, Coupe du Printemps, Gardena Spring Trophy, Triglav Trophy

Basically, they don't send athletes anywhere else.

Since Miki's sleds are here and there, I don't know which one is proper. I post this article here. If any problem, tell me. It says Miki registered with Kanagawa prefectural federation and belongs to Shinyokohama Prince Club.

Miki aims to appear in Sochi as a skater who belongs to Shinyokohama Prince Club
    http://hochi.yomiuri.co.jp/sports/wi...OHT1T00086.htm

It is revealed on 2nd July that former World champion figure skater Miki Ando (at the age of 25), who gave birth to her baby in this April, makes a come back in this Olympic season and she belongs to Shinyokohama Prince Club. Since she changed her prefectural federations from Aichi to Kanagawa, she will participate in Kanto Championships(regionals) in October to get the qualification for the Japanese Nationals (from 21st to 23rd December at Saitama Super Arena) which is the final qualifying meet for the Sochi Olympics.

Ando left Toyota company on 1st January and has been a free lance. Ando is now training at Shinyokohama Skate Center and others. Since she is out of the certified athletes of JSF, she should go through Kanto Championships(regionals) and East Japan Championships(sectionals) to make Sochi Olympic team.

Ando etc. participated to "Prince Ice World". Kozuka showed a new SP.

This is an article in "Kyodo News" in Japan.
    Translating to English from Japanese.

Ando etc. participated to "Prince Ice World". Kozuka showed a new SP for the first time.
    July 12th, 2013.

In July 12th, Miki Ando (25, Shinyokohama Prince Club) who aims at Sochi Olympics after the childbirth of a girl in April participated to "Prince Ice World" which greeted the first day of the public performance in Dydo Arena in Tokyo and succeeded in the triple jump in the program which skated to the hymnal "Amazing Grace.

Takahiko Kozuka (Toyota Motor) showed the short program which is the program for the Olympic season and was choreographed by Shae-Lynn Bourne for the first time. Using the juzz music, he jumped the quad and the triple Axel. Kanako Murakami (Chukyo University) and Risa Shoji (Tokyo Komabagakuen High School) participated, too.

    Refernce:
    Ando from now on.
After this public performance, she plans to go to US for choreographing the free skating. For getting the qualification to participate to Japan Nationals which is the selection meeting for the Sochi Olympics representative, she is necessary to overcome in Kanto Championship (October 11th-14th, Kawagoe Sports Center) which is the preliminary competition in the block and Higashi Nihon Championship (November 1st-4th, Gunma General Sports Center) which is the preliminary competition in the area.
JSF plans to send an inspector to the block competition and decide whether returning Ando to the certified athlete.
In the case of having been able to come back to the certified athlete of JSF, she participates to the international competition and must clear the minimum technical score which was specified as the qualification for participating to the Olympics, by the time of the participation to Japan Nationals.
