Great news! I wonder if she had a partner lined up already.
I said before that newly non-partnered Collin Brubaker would be the perfect size for her.

I love Collin Brubaker!!
I will miss C/Z. I really liked their programs this year and thought they made great strides over the past few seasons. I'm glad I got to see them skate in person at both 09 Nats and Nats this year. I talked to them at the FOFS breakfast in Greensboro and they were both such nice, down-to-earth people. I'm glad they had the chance to go to Worlds and I hope they are proud of all they accomplished together.
I hope Madi can find a good partner and I wish Greg the best as he moves on to the next phase of his life.
A strange retirement/split (well she is continuing or hoping to atleast). Maybe they felt they had already gone as far as they would go with the Shibutanis rise though.
This is rather devastating if true (just hoping it isn't, no offense to those in the know). C&Z really had wonderful programs last season and put their all into them. I was so looking forward to another season!
I hope that Madison quickly teams up with someone worthy of her and continues on. She is a star.
Is there any reason to think she might team up with Brubaker? I certainly enjoyed his dancing with his previous partner and hope to see him continue as well.

Darn, I thought C/Z had such a different look that the rest of the Canton group. They will be missed.![]()
"awwww....shades of Janet Lynn" - Dick Button on anyone who makes more than one mistake in their program.
I hope to heck it proves not to be true:
I really loved their year's programs.
Noo, I finally became a fan of them this year!
I mean, good luck to him in his future endeavors and good luck to her finding a new partner, but...they were really growing on me.
Is all this based on Greg's update status on his Facebook ?? Something along the lines of "starting a new chapter in life".. or is there any more reliable source.??
I will be bummed if its true.
Has Greg graduated from Schoolcraft College yet?
I hope it's only a rumor. They were excelent this past season.
(with the only FD that had some originality in the Z/S camp, IMO)
Maybe they aren't breaking up, but moving to another training location? They might find it too crowded with the Shibs and Samuelson and Bates at the same camp?
If it means the Staginunas can get away from Tobias I am allIt was really embarrassing to see him skate at this low level when he is one of the best ice-dancers in the world.
I am curious as to what the Chock/Zuerlein split means for Hubbell/Donahue?
Has anyone seen H/D and can give an update on their progress? Thanks.![]()

Considering the number of times Todd Gilles has changed partners, wouldn't it be quite a risk for any girl to skate with him?
And would she have to move to CO, which hasn't got nearly as many good coaching choices for dancers as MI?
I haven't seen Stagniunas on ice partner search. Is he even available?
OTOH, he would be great for any US or CAN girl who doesn't think they have a chance of getting to Worlds or Olympics from their home country. I love his style.
Huh? Todd Gilles skated with Trina Pratt for 6 seasons (in Colorado Springs) and Jane Summersett for 3 (at Detroit SC their last year together). I don't know if he's actively looking for a partner right now, but he considered making a comeback with Pratt earlier this year until recently, is what I've heard. I've always liked his style on the ice.
Deividas Stagniunas is still partnered with Isabella Tobias, AFAIK.
What i'm really hoping for is that K/G-S can get the 3rd spot to Worlds next year, long shot, but fingers crossed!
