Pretty good SD score but ouch on the FD score. But it's early yet and they are a new team plus they might not have had all their elements ready so I'm sure it will improve.

Really wishing I hadn't moved... Although I might be back helping a friend move so maybe I'll catch some of it.

Yeah, very good on the SD score but the FD score is bad. But it will definitely improve.

I'm so happy for Evan and Madie, I think they have a wonderful chemistry and will do very well. I'm so impressed with the progress they've made in such a short time together. The new partner along with the change to new coaches seems to have really inspired Evan. I'm also really hoping that Emily can do likewise. Todd is an amazing skater, too, so it will be great fun to see the two teams eventually come up against each other.

It seems they would train at Detroit Skating Club where Todd's sister is already training.

Really, you think so? I think Emily and Todd are gonna go with the coaches that are best for them and not because his sister is there, but then again... Them training at the Detroit Skating Club is my preference though.

Right, his sister is there because their mom must think that it's the best place to train. I think that it would probably be more comfortable for Emily, as a side benefit.

Isn't it super crowded in Detroit though? I thought I read something that said Samuelson's former coaches suggested she go to Lake Placid and try out with Gilles. Ann Arbor only has the one other senior team right now, so at least they'd get a lot of training/ice time. Hoping they go elsewhere for choreography.

Samuelson/Gilles will be coached by Yasa Nechaeva and Yuri Chesnichenko in Ann Arbor and their choreographers will be Tom Dickson (SD) and Christopher Dean (FD), according to this new article: http://web.icenetwork.com/news/artic...&vkey=ice_news

I was surprised that C/Mc beat C/L in SD. Did they compete FD, any result?

Senior FD results were published online today: http://www.pschs.org/cc_results/SEG038.html
Isabella Cannuscio tweeted on Sept. 10:
We had some technical difficulties.. As well as in the FD. Better at Challenge Cup than at Skate America! =)

It looks like C/L are having some serious issues making their levels at this point, in both dances.

Isabella tweeted that she had a painful case of whiplash (I think she and Ian fell on a rotational lift in practice?) so it was probably not what they are capable of doing full-out.

They scored better at Lake Placid IDC in late July when they won the Senior FD:
Isabella Cannuscio / Ian Lorello University of DE FSC / University of DE FSC
    76.12 42.48 34.64 5.89 5.46 5.79 5.82 6.11 1.00 #19
ETA: Anastasia Cannuscio/Colin McManus are scheduled to make their senior international debut at the Ondrej Nepela Memorial in 2 weeks so I would expect them to be further ahead in their competition readiness than C/L.

    Wow!

A very unexpected result there. I think I would have flipped the Top 3 upside down.

Is Meara Lorello in novice a sibling of Ian Lorello?
