Pretty good SD score but ouch on the FD score. But it's early yet and they are a new team plus they might not have had all their elements ready so I'm sure it will improve.

Meryl Davis and Charlie White - 2011 World Ice Dance Champions and 2013 World Ice Dance Champions!
Chock and Bates were just added to Skate Canada this morning.
Great news, that!
I'm so happy for Evan and Madie, I think they have a wonderful chemistry and will do very well. I'm so impressed with the progress they've made in such a short time together. The new partner along with the change to new coaches seems to have really inspired Evan. I'm also really hoping that Emily can do likewise. Todd is an amazing skater, too, so it will be great fun to see the two teams eventually come up against each other.
Isn't it super crowded in Detroit though? I thought I read something that said Samuelson's former coaches suggested she go to Lake Placid and try out with Gilles. Ann Arbor only has the one other senior team right now, so at least they'd get a lot of training/ice time. Hoping they go elsewhere for choreography.
Samuelson/Gilles will be coached by Yasa Nechaeva and Yuri Chesnichenko in Ann Arbor and their choreographers will be Tom Dickson (SD) and Christopher Dean (FD), according to this new article: http://web.icenetwork.com/news/artic...&vkey=ice_news

It looks like C/L are having some serious issues making their levels at this point, in both dances.

They scored better at Lake Placid IDC in late July when they won the Senior FD:
ETA: Anastasia Cannuscio/Colin McManus are scheduled to make their senior international debut at the Ondrej Nepela Memorial in 2 weeks so I would expect them to be further ahead in their competition readiness than C/L.Isabella Cannuscio / Ian Lorello University of DE FSC / University of DE FSC

Wow!
A very unexpected result there. I think I would have flipped the Top 3 upside down.
Is Meara Lorello in novice a sibling of Ian Lorello?
