Ashley Wagner will be skating to Black Swan, but I can't recall what program it will be.

Ohh, I love that idea for Makarova. She's gorgeous. I always thought Maria Butyrskaya should have done something like that, and Ksenia reminds me of Maria.

She better be ready to go full on Portman or it will be a disappointment.

Free skate, choreographed by Phillip Mills (he also choreographed Wagner's "Somewhere in Time" SP a few years ago).

That really sounds like a perfect fit for Ashley. I just hope she has worked on those jumps.

Predicting tons of Black Swan programs.

If any music is to be overused, I'd like it to be the Sherlock Holmes soundtrack. It's perfect for skating and nobody yet did it justice (Liebers' program was boring and Dornbush's so so ).

    SACRILEGE!

Maria was super mature and sophisticated. With the exception of this season's SP, Ksenia is always so wooden and the music never bothers her.

According to this article Tomas Verner wants to skate to Sing, Sing, Sing (choreographed by Lori Nichol). Not decided yet about short program, but it will be choreographed by Camerlengo.

So he is continuing! That's great news, I know Worlds was a bit of a letdown for him this season, but he was injured and the rest of his season went quite well all things considered. I think "Sing, Sing Sing" could really work for him, I loved his "Gypsy Swing" SP a few years back and the music is similar. I also liked what Carlemango did for him this year in the SP. Ideally I think that music would be best for a SP and then Tomas could do something a little more serious/artistic for his LP, maybe in the vein of that Tango Medley LP he had a few years back but never really performed to its potential. JMPO of course. But I can see this working. Hoping he rests himself for a little while and comes back strong next season!

Oh snap. I was clicking around Youtube the other day and thought "Sing, Sing, Sing" would be good for Joubert if he continued stretching his wings. Dammit. lol I think he said something about having his music cut together in an article after Worlds, but I don't know what music it was.

I misread this as Murakami, and had a 10-second jolt of joy

That would be IMMENSE. SHe could copy her coaches' blond hair from a few years back. That being said, I would what direction Kanako will go in this year?

    I am worried.

Yamada doesn't seem to know shit about packaging skaters, teaching them good basics and giving them good programs.

Murakami is like a little ball of PERK. If handled well, she could make an amazing impression.

I wish she went to outside choreographers because her team is just clueless.

Miyamoto is local, probably not too expensive and very creative. He did wonders for Takahashi. Would be amazing if he choreographed for her.

I'm guessing you didn't see any of the US qualifying competitions this year? Trust me, Sherlock Holmes is already overused.

I know that black swan is going to be over used this year, so I just ask that at least one person really kill it.
Kevin: He compared Scott to a disposable feminine cleansing product one might use on a summer's eve.
Meagan: Yeah, and the bag it came in. -The Big Bang Theory, performed by the Canadian WTT team and interpreted by Cyn.

I so hope anyone is gonna try using Arietty's soundtrack.
It's kind of waltzy. And beautifull.

Have to agree. Mao's programmes under her were :help: so were Yoshie's and really, Kanako's programmes this year, whilst being skated well, are quite weak IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if she left Yamada fairly soon...

    what??? big fat snark.

He seems very enthousiastic about it in the interview too. snark. I wonder if he will listen to me if I tell him to please not do this.

    I blame Lori Nichol

"it doesn't matter if you love what you do, but that you do what you love"
a quote Tomas Verner () gave me to think about...
