I am suspecting that James is not going to rock out tonight. I mean, you can rock out to a love song, but I'm guessing this is not going to happen.

By the way, like Cyn said in the last thread, the iTunes download of "Uprising" kicks all kinds of ass. As does Casey's song.

Love the a cappella intro, and I'm glad it was there, because the rest is good, but just sort of ordinary. I mean, there's not much you can do with this song.

    Nicely done.

considering what he was given to work with, I think James sounds really good

That would have been better without the final scream. A softer ending would have nailed it. But, otherwise, clearly best of the night.

I so loved James. James is in it to win it.

Might we hope James messes up the pre-ordained Lauren/Scotty final two?

I might strangle Randy if he uses "in it to win it" again.

    BLOODY FCUKING HELL!! :

Our local Fox affiliate cut in with a severe weather update *right* as James' bit started and the idiot meteorologist did not. shut. up., nattering on and on, repeating himself 4 times. They went back to the show just as Steven started his critique .

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

The only reason I was watching this damned thing was to see how he did with a Carole King song, and I WUZROBBED of it!

ETA: Can someone post a mini-PBP of his performance? Please? Pretty please?

I'm switching to the Voice since I missed the first 15 minutes or so last night due to weather. I can pass on the rest of AI tonight.

And Adam Levine in a t-shirt is way hotter than the kidlets.

James did a wonderful job, easily the best of the night SO FAR. Is Haley the only one yet to sing her solo number? I'm sure she loves the idea that once again James has been declared the winner of the night.

Is it my imagination or is there mucho manipulation on this season of AI? I mean more than previous seasons.

James started a cappella, then it sort of went in to a lite rock vibe, but in a good way (if that's possible). I didn't mind the high note at the end, though I prefer his lower register.

The closest we've come to an Idol moment this year. I'm sorry you missed it; seek it out on youtube.

I was watching some Idolatry from Kris and Adam's seasons earlier today (Idoloonies just isn't working for me. He needs to get Kristen on there). No, I don't think it's any different. Danny got a huge push, and don't forget! An "A for effort!" for the Scream.

I can't help but wonder what Steven would have said about that if he'd been there then.

I'm thinking more in the actual show itself. The fans rushing the stage. Ryan doing things like questioning the contestants (I know he's always asked them things, but its more intense this season) and forcing James to go hug Randy. I don't know, I'm not enjoying this season very much.
