Anyone care?
Tonight's theme is the music of Carole King and the guest mentor is Babyface. Squee!
I think everyone gets a solo performance and then a duet.
Jacob up first.
Jacob Lusk
Lauren Alaina
Scotty McCreery
Casey Abrams
Haley Reinhart
James Durbin
They were all totally lame.
I don't know. I was watching the rerun of The Voice.

I wish it wasn't Carole King week. And that Jacob was not on my teevee in a yellow shirt and bowtie.
And I don't know if PeterG is still watching or even cares, but I don't know this song, nor do I expect to know very many of them. So you get "Jacob is in a bowtie."
I feel like Jacob is either on the verge of tears or is awkwardly dancing. That outfit isn't helping either. I don't care for his vocal style, so I can't comment on the actual singing.
Jacob can go home this week. thankyouverymuch
Be kind to others, you never know when you might need some kindness in return. Unless of course, you drive a death banana, then anything goes
I enjoyed Jacob, but that's not new.
Casey and Haley should excel tonight.

After watching The Voice last night (which repeats tonight if anyone missed it), this seems really lame.
Your program sucks and your partner just fell: lay down and play dead or think Feck this and do a Th3A at the end of the program: Aliona Savchenko: Definition of a competitor
The judges offered some criticism. Maybe they watched The Voice.![]()
I'd like to know WTF the judges were watching/listening to, because Jacod did NOT sing beautifully, his pitch was all over the place, and was shrieky in several spots. Also, that was not "strutting his stuff" so much as he was preening around the stage.
I find him completely unwatchable. And unlistenable.
is the original of whatever jacob sang as wretched as this was? i dont know the original so im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt this time.
I feel like I'm in a dream. But it can't be a dream because there are no boy dancers!
Advice from Miley Cyrus. That'll be helpful.

Why is Lauren pulling random awkward teen boys from the audience?
I've been watching this season, but honestly, after The Voice last night, I haven't bothered to go back and forth between Survivor and American Idol. I think the people are they are using for song choices are really making the show dated and not relevant for today.

That was weird from Lauren, but I'm sure the judges will love it. What is with the marching all over the stage?
Is JLo Xena Warrior Princess tonight?
Steven is so wasted on this show. He'd have been fantastic on TV.

This was one of Carole King's biggest hits c. 1969....worth seeking out.
does randy think he is in some sort of continuing ed program at hogwarts? what the hell is he wearing?

Couldn't one classify all of Carole King's songs as "Safe and Boring"? That applies to the three that I can name.
