I actually started a thread asking why people hate Morozov awhile ago, and I got a lot of good replies even though not quite the clear answers I was looking for. It's in the trash can a few pages back, but I'm too lazy to get the link.

That reply means absolutely nothing and I have yet to meet anyone here or in person who can clearly define the disdain for the man.

His behavior to Wife #1 and Wife #2 in 'loving and leaving' them (#1 with baby) and serial girlfriends during and after marriages is part of it. Also his ranting at Bompard a couple of years ago (find it in the archives for yourself) are another part of why he is considered despicable by many.

I think it's a bad idea for any skater - a female skater especially - to go to any coach whose girlfriend is someone he's coaching. It's complicated enough for a coach to be dating one of this skaters, but IME any skater who's not the girlfriend is not going to be getting the best attention and advice.

Perhaps he will double dip so to speak.

He's a complete fckwad. I still at the fact that he asked me outside for a fight, TWICE!!!!!!! in the one night.

Having said that, Gedevanishvili promised a lot in 2006, 5 years later she has completely stagnated and he may well help her given that she does actually have the tools to be a champion. He seems to be great at instilling self belief and confidence and that's exactly what Elena needs, IMHO.
