I would agree. Good vocal as always, but I think he needs to start taking some chances!

I didn't care for Scotty at all, but I rarely do. I'm excited about Jame doing Muse.

James gets the huge production, again. Why isn't anyone else taking advantage of this? I wonder if James is asking for all of this or if he is being offered and having it suggested to him...which would reek of favoritism but that never happens on this show, right?

That being said, this is quite boring and he is absolutely screaming...

Maybe that would work better in an arena...

James knows how to put on a show.

I like it when he sings in a lower register; his voice is much richer.

Did someone say "modern arrangement?" This is incredibly 80's (not that that's a bad thing.)

    Shut up, Jennifer.

I might see this year's idols tour for James.

That was great. Not a fan of the screams, but his lower register is superb.

The performance was sort of mysterious and a bit entrancing!

    OMG Haley is singing Adele!?!?

    I die, I die!!!

This could be the best thing ever or the worst thing ever.

My favorites off the album are:

    Don't you Remember
    Someone Like You
    One and Only
    Set Fire to the Rain

I don't ever see her doing Set Fire...but the other three, possibly...just depends if she wants to do a ballad. The only upbeat I could imagine is the single Rollin in the Deep.

I think that is a quote from Dolly Parton. Or Dolly said something similar.

Again I really really enjoyed James.

A very famous quote from Dolly Parton. It applies to Steven too, though.

We can go get T-shirts while Thia is on. Or Jacob. Or Scotty. Lots of choices, really.

    Opening number

Scotty was bland, but sounded fine overall. I was just really shocked that the judges actually gave some criticisms.

James was alright... it would have been way better if he'd kept the screaming to a minimum. But I can't help but think that he's a poor man's Adam Lambert I think that every time I see him perform.

Does Stefano think he is going to get votes by saying he doesn't get along with one of the girls?

Doing Rollin in the Deep. I think she could have slayed one of the ballads and really made a moment for herself.
