Considering she used to be able to land 3A+3T, I figure she's got to at *least* still have a 3T, right? Should be interesting to see!!

With her natural power I bet she still has a triple or ten and a huge 2axel. She has already won, haha.

So wish I could compete there this year. I'd be proud to say I lost to Midorit Ito.

Good one! I'd be like "well I didn't win but you know, Midori Ito was competing so..."

That is really cool! Having elite skaters compete really shows it's a lifelong sport.

I do feel bad for those competing for silver, but how cool to even skate in the same competition as Midori Ito!

Any chance it's not THE Midori Ito? I understand those are common names. Would be a shame if a poor girl showed up with the same name and everyone wasn't as excited that she wasn't the one they were hoping for.

Why? I think the silver medalist would be proud to be 2nd to her.

Yeah, imagine getting to stand on the podium next to Midori Ito. How cool!

I know, I thought about that, too, LOL! I imagine some tall, skinny 28-year old Japanese woman showing up with her rusty double jumps, dreading the response she always gets as she approaches the registration table to give her name. . . On the other hand, Midori is not that common a name in Japan (and is definitely less common among 28-year olds than 40-year olds), so I would be quite surprised if it turned out to be a different Midori Ito.

Especially because you'd still be taller, even if you were the bronze medalist!
