He really needs to tone down the creepy faces. Constantine Maroulis is watching and cringing.

That was probably my favorite from Haley BY FAR. However, she still growls too much and that says something if someone growls too much during a Janis song. LOL! I think I will vote for her tonight!

this is all just imitation, IMO.
Her best performance yet, though. She's really getting stronger as the weeks go on. When she made the top 12 (13?,) I was like .

Gotta give it to Haley, her best performance of the season. Very Very good pick for Haley.

hayley screaming in 3d would scare the bejeezus out of me

Did J.Lo say that Haley was going to be around for a minute?

I feel like I've just been yelled at by Haley. She's so odd stomping all over the stage.

Does Will I Am have a contract with Idol now? He's on the show so much this season...

I'm guessing Lauren is singing Aretha based on the soul comment.

I think Will I Am must be working on something with Nigel. This is the third time he's been on this season.

And Casey is doing rock...I hope he doesn't immediately revert back to his growling and screaming ways. Not sure it was a wise idea to have Haley and Casey back to back, at least we get a commercial break, haha.

Hopes dashed again. Can he not growl and scream his way through a song? Of course not, then you notice he can't sing.

I loved Casey. Lauren butchered Aretha. I thought that was terrible and empty. She turned it into adult contemporary.

I don't get that look on Lauren for "Natural Woman," the faux-hawk is giving me terrible Sanjaya flashbacks.

She was okay, but she's like a soul-less Kelly Clarkson.

I remember Kelly Clarkson singing that on Idol season 1. It was a turning point for her that season.

I kind of agree. On key, but missing that "love him so much it hurts" quality that makes that song what it is. Randy said as much in a roundabout way. Good, not great.

Casey is my favorite of the night thus far. I'm not crazy about Lauren's version of Natural Woman. It was kind of boring, but she has a nice voice.

I thought this was a great choice for James, but he sounds way off to me.

lauren sucked all of the soul out of that song.

casey started out fine enough, but just fell apart.

I thought James sounded great, and I love that song.
