ITA! These rules may just put an end to my love of ice dance...

Stupid rules becuase they are so subjective. And if you are busy concentrating on judging, how can you pay attention to the audience being depressed or confused.

Could someone suggest to me which programs of the past might be considered not "understandable" and not "uplifting"?

I'd prefer last season's program for reference, but would be fine with older programs.

I am no native English speaker so I may be off base but isn't uplifting not meant to be something like happy/clappy/perky but more "morally erecting" (which is the direct translation from German) which could mean pretty much everything apart from elevator music?

I think anything that made me erect, morally or any other way should get bonus points. Ladies with too much nudity would not do this. Men on the other hand. Wait it's ice... shrinkage.

They will put voting machines at each seat in the audience , who will vote whether they understood the program or not. LMAO
