First F/S, now the Kerrs (I was kinda hoping she would recover...)

Wishing a complete and speedy recovery for Sinead.

    Oh no!

The Worlds will be so much poorer without them and F&S.
Besides, this was going to be their last season. How frustrating! It seems her body can't take it anymore. Maybe with all the contortionist moves that the CoP demands, the ice dancers won't be able to compete into their early thirties.

Well, we're not likely to see them again. At least in competition.

So sad Really, the worlds field is going to be incredibly weak. They really aren't going to try for Euros next year in the UK? Awww...well, I guess if I were F&S and the Kerrs getting constantly hurt and the passed by Bobrova & Soloviev at Euros, I'd probably retire, too

    What a shame.

Best wishes to them both and a quick, complete recovery for Sinead.

They never said it would definitely be their last season, did they? And they also implied they might stop the previous season, and then they decided not to, so maybe they will again. I have always imagined they would continue to Sheffield unless something prevented it - I just hope this injury isn't it. It's really sad, but they are both fantastic and very strong people and I think they will get through this and focus on positive things.
Stop, don't say that it's impossible, cause I know it's possible...

It's such a pity that we won't see them and F/S at Worlds this year.I wish Sinead good recovery and to see them next season refreshed and original as always.

    Unhappy

I'm still living in hope they will compete in Sheffield 2012 but I don't consider it likely.

That sucks, and this was the year they might have medalled, although admittedly it would have been hard for them to beat Pechalat and Bourzat (assuming V/M and D/W take the top spots).

I hope they get to skate professionally before they completely retire. Do they ever go on Torvill and Dean's show in the UK? They are great performers.

Huge bummer. I hope that they stick around for one mo' season (Sheffield & the next Worlds). I would like to see them make a Worlds podium before they truly retire.

Well, this pretty much ensures a top-3 finish for Bobrova/Soloviov...maybe even the silver, if Tessa & Scott cannot compete (which is still up in the air)...in which case it will likely be Meryl/Charlie for gold and Bobrova/Soloviov and Pechalat/Bourzat fighting for silver, IMO.
