Maybe the snake can continue to tweet from her solitary confinement. Although, it's really good she was found. NYC is not a good habitat for a reptile that doesn't have a hibernation den. If she'd managed to get out of the reptile house, she'd have died next winter.

I have to admit I've always despised snakes and been utterly terrified of them, but this snake (tweets or no tweets) has really hit a soft spot with me. Ironic because she would kill me in the blink of an eye, but it's the first time I've ever felt anything other than revulsion and terror for a snake. Hope she's okay.

So much fun!!!! I wonder if the person underlying this Twitter account will ever reveal themselves? I guess that they are having far too much fun to do so.

    Ryan Seacrest Co-opted by Cobra

Not sure how this happened, but it appears to be real. Ryan Seacrest (or his people) have taken over the theme, supplying us with the Six Sexiest Snakes to Date. Hilarious!

I normally am not a fan of April the First-related stuff. But the snake "hacking" Seacrest's website/ twitter account if pretty great. (OT: Runnersup in the April Fools webjokes: YouTube's "1911" feature and Hulu's homepage.)

For some reason I've just been loving the anthropomorphized cobra's twitter/FB activities.

Okay -- Bronx Zoo's having a contest to name the snake. Any suggestions?

I submitted my mother's suggestion: Sashay (to glide, move, or proceed easily or non-chalantly)
