I think it's too much of a contrast. It almost screams take-out-those-fake-contact-lenses! Somewhat distracting, like the blonde hair in Little Women.

Ok, now I'm going way overboard.

Elizabeth's Taylor's eyes were beautiful not only for the color but the shape and her abundant lashes. As somoene (can't remember who it was) said, she basically born with a double set of lashes.
Yes, the double lashes were a rare genetic mutation.
I do think that she started to lose her looks in the late 60s or so, when all that partying and carousing started to catch up with her.

I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere in this thread, but TCM is doing a tribute to Liz on 4/10/11 which will include many of our favorites.

    Wow!

Previously Unpublished Nude Photo of Elizabeth Taylor Revealed

She looked amazing. Kicked the ass of skinny models everywhere.

I watched The Mirror Crack'd yesterday on Netflix. There are a few versions but this was the one starring Angela Lansbury and Elizabeth Taylor. She was just wonderful in her role.

    Elizabeth was beautiful.

A lovely photograph. Bravo, to Roddy McDowell.

And her boobs look so weird-like they're real! Seriously, a gorgeous photo of an incredibly beautiful-and real-woman.

I think that photo of Liz was done very tastefully by her friend Roddy. She looked fabuluous at 24 (and every decade before and after imo).

One of my favorite Elizabeth Taylor roles was when she was very young-as the giggly Mary Skinner, the love interest of young Clarence Day Jr. in "Life With Father". It was a silly, sweet, innocent role and I just loved it. RIP Ms. Taylor.

Don't like the nude all that much. Not enough face and it looks like she was amputated below the knees.
