Not very shocked by this. I think she's been ill for a while. RIP Ms. Taylor.

Such sad news; she was one of the most beautiful women to have ever graced the silver screen, and her passion for personal causes made her even more a legend. Rest in peace, Liz!

RIP Liz. your journey was a memorable one, especially later in life with all her tireless work on the behalf of AIDS research.

Favorite movies would be "Father of the Bride" and "Giant".

It will take me awhile to realize that she really isn't here any more...

My favorite Liz movie is The Sandpiper. I will watch it today for her.

A beautiful person; inside and out,
What a legacy she leaves, as an actress - and activist.

    RIP, Elizabeth. Thank you.
    You will never be forgotten!

Funny, I was just wondering about that the other day in the checkout line, looking at all the tabloids and their death-watch headlines for any older celeb with a cold. For some reason I remembered her and wondered how she was doing.

She was a true actress and screen star. Just half of her movies would have been a terrific career for any actress today, but she made everything more special with her talent. After all that, nobody would have blamed her for sitting back and enjoying the fruits of her labors, but her activism and desire to make this world a better place made her even more special.

The world lost a true star.
