I started to type something about country music giving me an arrhythmia but I think we have hurt PRLady's feelings enough for one night

I guess Scotty's not going to veer from his country range until he makes the tour. They've probably destroyed the tape of him singing Johm Mayer and Frank Sinatra during his auditions.

I'd like him to sing some younger songs. I never get the impression that he is connecting with the lyrics. It's like he's playing grown up. I kind of wish they had kept John Wayne Shulz and waited on Scotty a few years.

His voice is good, but I'm not a fan of his facial expressions and stage presence.

Scotty was quite good, I am so impressed with how refined he is at just 17.

Okay, Karen is another 1989 baby.

WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE HAIR METAL FANS???

(Bon Jovi are not metal. And that song was lame. It doesn't count. )

Please don't let "Blue Crew" turn into "Soul Patrol" ...we don't need to hear it every week lol.

Scotty is from Garner which is about 20 minutes from me.

Now Scotty did another of my favorite aging guys, Travis Tritt. His politics suck but he had some good songs. And he did it pretty well, too.

The thing is, there's a huge variety in country. He just needs to do something other than ballads. He needs to do some outlaw country. Travis Tritt certainly has some. He can really change up the tempos. Clearly, his career will be in country, but he can vary the type of songs he's doing.

Baby Lock Them Doors sang well, but I agree he doesn't seem to connect with the lyrics.

Name of group? C'mon, I had a hard life and missed a lot of good music. I bought a Duran Duran song last night because Lanna referred to it in a non-music thread!

And agreed that Scotty should do some rocking country. T-R-O-U-B-L-E would be a lot of fun.
