Exactly. Reminds me of when people complained about Kwan winning the Sullivan Award because she didn't win the OGM in 2002, "only" bronze... but it's because she won the award for her 2001 accomplishments (fourth World title).
Then Sarah Hughes took home the Sullivan Award in 2003 but with respect to her 2002 accomplishments (OGM). Certainly not for her 2003 accomplishments![]()

Some happy news at last!
Congrats Evan! Well deserved!
It seems similar to the Oscars in that the awards are for accomplishments the previous year.
Congrats to Evan! Well deserved...
Congrats to Evan!!!
So happy for Evan! He's definitely in great company with the other skaters who've won that award.
Congratulations Evan Lysacek -- 2010 Olympic Champion!
Congratulations to Evan!!
Congratulations to Evan! Obviously, his sportsmanship and community service weighed heavy in this decision, as his athletic accomplishments for 2010 as a whole equal 50% of winning.Although, hey, I guess he won the one that matters!

I'm so happy for him!
Congrats to Evan!
Late to the party, but congrats Evan.well deserved
You're missing the point, guys.
He won the OGM in FEBRUARY 2010. He has done absolutely NOTHING competitive since. Are you HONESTLY saying that NO other amatuer athlete in the whole United States won anything else last year?
I'd feel pretty miffed if I was another amatuer athlete. The guy wins one thing, whoop-de-doo. He didn't even win it by a convincing amount. I'm sure there are plenty of other athletes who've had multiple wins who deserved this more.
