Happy to see them skate clean SD! I love this two. Yes, maybe they will not go to the top so quikly, like I-K and Shibs, but this two pleasent to watch for me
Good luck to them in FD!

Did P/I withdraw?? Mitch just tweeted this:
Thanks to everyone for their support and to the wonderful Japanese officials here. Alex is going to be fine, just needs some time to heal.
And of course, good luck to all our competitors, we will be there to cheer you on : )
Nothing on the ISU site that I can find, but, ugh. That's worrisome, though it would better contextualize the overly-cautious performance last night (and Alex didn't look entirely comfortable at points).
tatjana21 tweeted: Paul/Islam withdrawn from NHK, she suffered a cut in a practice collision with Alessandrini/Vaturi.
I'm going to twizzle into a triple axel and spiral out of it.
PJ Kwong elaborated: Just out Paul/Islam WD from NHK - Paul has post left thigh cut after colliding in AM practice w/Italians
These two have got some extraordinarily bad luck.![]()
According to twitter, she got cut in the thigh and needed 20 stitches.Poor girl. Honestly, these two can't catch a break.
20 stitches??? (((Alexandra)))
This team has had a rough go of it lately.
((Paul & Islam))
What a horrendous start to their year.
Get well soon, Alexandra!
Hope they wil have much better second part of the season.
Actually, I heard she was in surgery, but is now out and stable. Possible artery cut.
Good grief, it just gets worse and worse.
Exactly what I was thinking![]()
That poor girl - I hope she is okay.
Vainly hoping for Khokhlova/Volobuev
minor collision 4 mins into practice before the comp... I landed on a blade and kindaaaa cut my leg :S
This what Alexandra post on fer FB page
Apparently she lost a lot of blood...and yes, surgery was required. Glad she is back home and healing![]()
I'm just so devastated for these two! It seems like it will be a very tall order to get to where they wanted to be for Nationals. I hope they have a chance .
What incredibly bad luck for P&I this season. Hope things turn around for them soon.
I think moving somewhere part-time would be a good idea. Kind of like what W&P did for awhile splitting their time between Toronto and Detroit. I would love to see P&I train full time with Shpilband/Zoueva or Camerlengo but I doubt Mitch would ever leave his father, nor would David Islam want to "give them up".
One thing I'm curious about is why they didn't use Dubreuil & Lauzon for the FD this year. They did such a good job with last year's number. It was way better than their program this year IMO.
I agree a part-time arrangement could work well for them under the circumstances ( family) especially if they don't have peers to train with.
I think I'dif they could go to Z/S..
