All the gossip I've heard from people who've actually met Johnny or who know people who know him intimately, is that Johnny is indeed a nice person no matter the high level scrutiny, judged-to-be poor choices he's made, the personal mistakes he's revealed in his bio, and how often some people have negative gossipy things to say about him.
As always, what we project onto others reveals more about our own personalities and ways of looking at the world.
