So nice to see him skate in a simple costume - doesn't take anything away from that elegant skating. I was never a huge fan but have to admit I miss him on the circuit.

Now that really showcases the best of Johnny. So beautiful on the ice.
"I miss footwork that has any kind of a discernible pattern. The goal of a step sequence should not be for a skater to show the same ice coverage as a Zamboni and take about as much time as an ice resurface. " ~ Zemgirl, reflecting on a pre-IJS straight line sequence

Random sighting of Johnny in the local dry cleaners/tailor this morning by my hubby, whom I have trained enough to recognize JW but not enough to give him a fan message from me. He said, "But I'm not a fan." Grrr! He used to live in the next town over from me (in N. NJ). Maybe still does?

Absolutely beautiful. Stunning. As Dick Button would have said - "This is skating".

It's a perfect piece of music for him. I love the opening pose where he looks like a candle. I would watch Johnny Weir any day than Evan Lysacek.

LOL, Johnny wasn't at fashion week last week, he was visiting his in-laws in Georgia for the Jewish holiday.

Sept. 10 article and photo of Johnny here: http://www.elle.com/news/fashion-sty...en-johnny-weir
Then we couldn't help but notice Olympic figure skaters Sarah Hughes and Johnny Weir. Weir's creative self-styling is always a joy to behold. He wore a Japanese-designed skort with a Phillip Lim necklace, a Rolex watch, a pearl bracelet, and a studded forearm cuff (that could double as a cheese grater). “[The cuff] comes in handy when I’m hungry, or in a tussle,” he quipped. Did we mention the Rick Owens platforms and Birkin bag?

So what’s the Olympian’s next step? “When I figure it out, I’ll let you know!” he said. If you don’t mind a little career suggestion, Johnny, you might be a fashion stylist just waiting to happen.
