25th Season of "The Real World" Debuts Wednesday, March 9th

    I love this show!!!

At 25, MTV's "Real World" challenged to stay fresh

I also how they keep the craziest castmates for "The Challenge" or "The Duel" later on...

    Picture of the new cast:

It's official. I am madly in love with Meryl Davis.

I loved the first season of this show and couldn't understand why no one else I knew watched it, or even knew about it. I lost interest by the 8th or 9th season, it seemed to turn into trash for trash's sake and very negative in it's presentation of young adults.

I feel the same way. It seems like yesterday that I was watching the first season (the only season I caught, but I'm downloading the DC season).

But here's the question: why am I still watching the show? I'm not the same age as the house guests anymore, so why why why?!?!?

I was going to say I stopped watching when they all became drunken whores, but your way was written nicer.

I've wondered if any of the past cast members has a kid who's old enough to be on the show.

This is my uncensored version as well. As for which full season was the last one I watched, it would probably be the Seattle season, although I have watched parts of the New Orleans, Philadelphia & Denver seasons.

Assuming none of the cast members had a baby until after production ended, the very first cast would be the only ones to potentially have an 18 year old right now.

It did go that way for a while, but for the last few years (for the most part) the pendulum has swung back into the centre with there being a balance between young people building a community for themselves...and then having the one whackjob who wreaks havoc on the rest of the group.

I focus on the former part (as does the show, it seems to me) with people connecting with one another & supporting each other as well as moving towards making a better life for themselves. I love this show!!

I missed that memo!!! I can only watch movies/TV shows and listen to music made by people of my same age group? How many years above and below my age am I allowed to participate in???

So apparently everyone in this cast comes from a dysfunctional home? oh, and a porn star.

Of course not! But their bios all sound the same. Mom was a druggie, went to jail, etc.

There's some actors and actresses in the group (Jacinda and Jamie, I believe). I think Pam and Kameelah are doctors? Janet from Seattle works on tv, as a reporter I think. I'm sure there's some site that has what they're all doing.

I've watched the show since the start. I actually tried out to be on the show in 2001 and got in a couple rounds before I was told that I wasn't "the look they were going for and that I should drop 30 pounds and try again next time." I didn't try again, but I kind of always wished I had.

I lost interest around the Paris season and found San Diego, Austin, Denver, and Sydney really boring and basically only watched a smattering of episodes. I didn't watch any of the Hollywood season and from what I hear, I didn't miss anything. One of my favorite seasons was Philadelphia, but a lot of people seem to not like that one. I have to say that Brooklyn, Cancun, and the new New Orleans got me really into the show again

I was going through wikipedia trying to see how many of the seasons I watched and enjoyed. My suspicions were correct; I tend to like the earlier seasons better. And I was all set to blame the Vegas cast (Trishelle!) for the trainwreck direction the show went it, but I totally forgot about the Hawaii season.

I was a loyal viewer through the first 3 seasons. That kinda fell of during the steaming pile of boring that was the London season. I watched it casually through Vegas, but completely checked out after a few episodes of the Paris trainwreck. CT was seriously the most disgusting person I had ever seen on television up to that point. He made me feel like Puck wasn't really so bad. Unfortunately in the decade since, I've seen plenty worse than both of them.

BTW, does anyone watch basketball wives on VH1? Apparently this season features none other than Tammy from season 2.

LOVED IT! Knew I would, though.

    My take on the cast:

Dustin. Lord, he is HAWT! I kept thinking, "he looks like some cutie I knew in my past". And then finally it dawned on me that he looks like Cahutta's younger (and taller) brother. Can't wait to see how everyone else reacts to his film career.

Adam. Loved how the editors threw him under the bus and showed him repeating his lines first with Nany and then his bimbo-du-jour. I expect they will continue to be hard on him as long as he keeps acting this shady. One thing I don't get about Adam...he's a nice looking guy, but he's not over-the-top gorgeous. I don't get some people who seem to have such a healthy ego, yet not be all that special in the looks department...

Nany. Love her. It'll be interesting to see if she stays with her boyfriend or not during this. I think she is strong and grounded, but from what we heard of her boyfriend during their phone call, the boyfriend is a bit of a loose cannon.

Naomi. At first glance I thought, "oh...she's going to the house bitch". But later when she was talking to Nany, she seemed really sweet. I'm thinking the three women are all going to get along really well together.

Leroy. Roid rage episode to come??? He seems kind of one-note. Can't wait to see how he reacts to Dustin's past career.

Heather. Haven't seen much about who she is yet. But she has good taste in men!

And that's everybody. Six housemates. Aren't there supposed to be seven. Wait...isn't there another guy?
It's official. I am madly in love with Meryl Davis.

"Film" career. I looked him up and .

Gay for pay, or is it going to be like Mike Manning from DC?

Didn't catch the first epy yet, so now I'm off to find it online.
