Your program music ideas for specific skaters or in general (competitive programs)

I'd love to see someone - anyone - have a crack at skating to anything by the Decemberists, possibly a medley from The Hazards Of Love. Perhaps for Meryl and Charlie, a character-driven program that includes the Queen of the Forest's "theme" (about 1:40 into this track and more prominently in this one). I've seen more skaters over the years use Apocalyptica, and I'd like someone to try their version of Hall of the Mountain King. Very fast, very frantic, with a thrash metal spin on the classic. Not sure who'd be best suited to it, though.

And Brian Joubert should skate to the Hanna soundtrack.

After watching the movie 'Tree of Life', which has beautiful classical music in the background, I thought that Mao Asada could skate to some of that.

Ive been waiting for some one (team) to do this song for YEARS now. I think it would be beautiful if done by the right team.

I totally agree! Almost anything by Sigur Ros or Jonsi would be very interesting to see. I'd love an ambitious ice dance team to attempt a program to Hjartath Hamast . And I think Mirai, or any young energetic skater, could do a great exhibition to Sticks and Stones.

I think Springsteen's "Jungleland" would make an epic Free Dance. For those of you not familiar with the song (!) it's a variation on a West Side Story theme.

"Seasons of Love" popped up earlier today when I was shuffling through my iPhone, and I realized it's been 15 years since "Rent" debuted on Broadway.

Has any top ice dance team done a free dance to "Rent?" It's about time we saw more dances - and skating programs in general - to contemporary music, themes, and movements.

Seriously, it's very danceable, in a modern way... assuming you have top-notch talent who can put in the effort and can dance.

Not sure who (singles or pairs) could pull this music off, but Thomas Newman's[/I] soundtrack from The Green Mile is a treasure trove of amazing music. A couple of examples

I don't have the energy to wade through 11 pages of posts to see if it's been mentioned before (lol!) but I would really love to see someone skate to this.

Homage to the Rabbits

It's music from Criss Angel's show in Vegas, which features dancers and performers from Cirque de Soleil. I heard this music for the first time when dancers from the show performed on So You Think You Can Dance a few years ago. The dance was choreographed by Wade Robson (amazing choreographer) and it was fantastic.

The music would be difficult to skate to, but a really brilliant choreographer could edit it and do something really special with this. It's a bit quirky and a little dark and mysterious...I think it'd make an awesome SP for someone...
