Miami travel suggestions

The boyfriend and I just booked a vacation trip (our first ever together!) to Miami over Easter weekend. We'll be there for 3 days and 4 nights and would like some suggestions. We do have a hotel on the beach so we'll definitely be spending a lot of time there, but we'd love any other ideas on what to do in between - restaurants, parks, lesser-known fun tourist locations etc. - and we're completely unfamiliar to the area so anything would be appreciated TIA!

Lesser-known:

(1) GreenStreet Cafe in Coconut Grove. I love their penne tettrazini. http://www.greenstreetcafe.net/

(2) Drive down to Homestead and go to Knaus Berry Farm, especially for the fresh cinnamon rolls. http://www.knausberryfarm.com/

The house and gardens at Vizcaya are very beautiful. They recently added private audio tours that are well worth the $5 for the experience. You and boyfriend can plug into the same one to hear. They often have model photo shoots there which were interesting to watch while drinking a frozen fruity drink with the water lapping in the background.

Mkats, South Beach is a study in people watching! Take the public transportation there, much easier. The Kardashian's store is there (you can afford to buy a signature sovenier of bottled water . My DD loved the Miami Seaquarium with live whale and dolphin shows. Finally we went to one of the keys to the South and went to John (something) state park for a glass bottom ride over the coral reefs. It was amazing. We are going again at spring break. Must have the cuban pulled pork sandwich...Have fun!
