    Obviously not.

She looks fabulous. I saw her a few years ago in Vancouver...she's absolutely beautiful on the ice.

Bobek received a sentence of 5 years probation back in August 2010 -- for those who haven't followed her saga: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports...704,full.story

At the beginning of the clip she says she's practicing for a show in April. I'd love to see her do a spiral again.

I think the reference to having finished her "hours" probably referred to her court-mandated community service hours.

I hope she keeps it together now. Fingers crossed.

How do you deal meth and still not go to jail? Just asking. It's not like she hasn't been in trouble since she was a teenager.

Jammers, please let's not rehash that topic all over again in this thread.

Feel free to read through the old Bobek threads (ETA: There's a 21-page thread was locked but still in GSD.)

I took that to be that she had finished work for the day.

Thanks for posting the clip. She looks great and really happy. So nice to see.

Good for Nicole. Says that she is "working for a show in April." Probably a local spring show where she lives (Florida? New Jersey? ... forget where). Step by step. Maybe, in time, she'll work her way up to the Disson shows? I really wish her the best.

"Finished the hours" most likely means that she finished the mandated community-service hours portion of her sentence. She's on probation for five years but the community-hrs portion is over.

Nicole is scheduled to appear April 16, 2011 in Skate for Love, a Susan G. Komen fundraiser for breast cancer. The show is in Morris County, New Jersey.

I'm glad for her, loved her skating and her graciousness to her fans over the years. That was really nice.

I'd rather watch Tonya Harding chew with her mouth open in the Burbank Airport.

Why. Seriously...why. You take a person filled with joy after overcoming drug addiction and turn it into snark.

I'm so glad Nicole is getting her life back on track. I still think she has the best spirals ever.

You can go ahead and celebrate the conspirator to distribute meth as part of a drug ring because she is no longer on meth, herself, and that she skates pretty again if you like, but that is not all the damage she caused and I could not watch her again knowing that.

I'm not advocating her drug use and her selling of drugs in any way. In fact, I think she is very, very lucky not to be in prison. But Nicole was given a gift, a second chance at life, and I am extremely glad to see she is putting it to good use.

Exactly. She could be on skating message boards waspishly bitching about reformed skaters actually using their talent, but she isn't.
