Here are the rest. I have tried to slow down teh home movie footage from the 1961 North Americans as it was almost in fast forward in it's original format.

1961 North Americans Ladies FS Silent Home Video

1961 North Americans Dance FD Silent Home Video

The man who filmed these - Dave Barth - was clearly a pairs fan as there is a lot of footage here:

1961 North Americans Pairs FS Silent Home Video

1961 North American Championships Mens FS

Also the last of the 1961 US Nationals mens freeskate:

Tim Brown 1961 US Nationals FS

Gregory Kelley 1961 US Nationals FS

    That's all folks

Does one of these have the axel jump with arms folded before the takeoff?

    Edit:

Thanks! It's at around 3:20. Axel, spread eagle with arms crossed, double axel. There are a ton of axels in the program, so it's surprising he didn't do the fancy arm positions on more of them.

Thank you so much for these videos, floskate. Bradley Lord was just phenomenal - what a wonderful combination of athleticism and musicality. I loved his alternating spread eagles perfectly timed to the music. He was quite a talent.

(BTW - Why the skip for this thread? Can't it go in GSD?)

GSD should be kept for current events, news etc. As I already posted these links in the RISE review thread I felt it best to place the thread here There's a direct thread link in the GSD thread too.

Though the loss of life by itself is a tremendous tragedy, seeing the skaters in actual competition truly puts this in perspective. There was so much potential lost here.

Wow! That reverse pivot that Bradley Lord did at 3:50 . . . I have never seen that before. Very cool.

Surprising there weren't any triples though.

Sorry. I'm editing my post because of the webmaster's band usage regarding her videos. The webmaster also noted that the videos could be shared by reposting them elsewhere.

However, the website is open to the public (world wide internet) and the link is Skate Web

I believe that those skaters who had the triples at this tine were often "discouraged" from doing them...It was said that they were "too showy"! for competition!
    (eg: David Jenkins)
