Dapper Dogs on Display - Westminster Dog Show starts 2/14!

We need a catchier title, but I wanted to start the thread.

    http://photoblog.msnbc.msn.com/westminster-unleashed

On USA Network again. Fill in your schedules, list your favorite pooches, and sweet dreams everyone. 6 new breeds coming this year too...

I'm rooting for the German Shepherd, but since my Scruffy is a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, they have a spot in my heart.

My is not excited, of course...

    Go Huskies!

I say that every year, but they never win! And they are the best.
I know. But I do not approve. And I am not resigned.

The Monday night broadcast splits with the first hour on USA and the next two on CNBC just in case anyone is setting a dvr.

The Hound, Toy, Non-Sporting, and Herding group competition will be televised live Monday on USA Network from 8-9 PM ET and continuing on CNBC from 9-11 PM ET. The Sporting, Working, Terrier, and Best In Show competition will be televised live Tuesday on USA Network from 8-11 PM ET.

The garden kitty laughs at how those dogs run around in a circle on command. (but I think he's rooting for the herding dogs that never win the big title)

One of the most gorgeous dogs I've ever seen was a red-boned hound. There are some gorgeous blue-ticks as well. I love hounds. I'll have to call my dad and remind him that the show is on tonight. He had a wonderful blue-tick years ago.

    Go Long Haired Chihuahuas!
    http://www.westminsterkennelclub.org...oy/chihua.html

The chihuahuas are just amazing! My stepmother's chihuahua, Dixie, understands everything you tell here and she can also talk. lol! Dixie gets excited when I come to visit and starts shouting "Angie, Angie, Angie"! She also says "Momma, Momma, Momma" to my stepmother whenever she wants a treat or wants to go outside.

I found a picture online of a long haired chihuahua that could be Dixie's twin. Absolutely gorgeous! The chihuahua is sitting in front of a white background.

I'm so excited! I didn't know it was tonight, so I'm glad for this thread. I just watched the best of breed for the basset hounds. I know those dogs are awkward, but all my neighbors had them growing up, so I've always loved that breed.

Obviously I'm pulling for kerry blue terriers and bedlington terriers since I have one of each.

I was excited for Mary Carillo too!

I love the basset hound in this group. So far, I thought the Afghan was really spectacular.

I don't know, the little beagle was pretty good. The Black N Tan is from my home state.

I was excited to see the blue tick. My dad had one when I was 8 or so.

Oliver and I want a borzoi now. I thought the handler was kind of cute too

I agree, the first beagle had really good poise. I guess beagles don't seem all that special to me because they were so common back home. It doesn't seem like a show dog.

Okay, lady, just because you are showing an Irish Wolfhound it doesn't mean you need to bedazzle 4-leaf clovers on your vest.
