Yeah but I'm getting the impression she wants happy/easy/breezy this go around. She just did two years of 'intense'. Time to change it up.
I do like Totentanz but not this go round I'm thinkin

How about "Fill me up Buttercup" ,"Beat It", YMCA.,Cotton eye Joe,or Cha-Cha-Slide. That last one I find is a really great song for praticing moves on ice. I must say too that it's an honor for Ashley to be asking her fans for help.
I think that Gershwin's Rialto Ripples Rag would make a great SP.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the universe.
^ OMG no Gershwin. I am so sick of skaters using his hideous music for skating programs.
It would probably be really difficult to choreograph a program to but Ashley has never been one to shy away from difficult programs:
Stan Getz's Litha:

It has frantic and smooth moments going back and forth. One minute the music is very realxed and then it just becomes hectic. I think it could work for Ashley.

Chopin Nocturne no.20 in C-sharp minor
has anyone skated to this before?
I'm not sure, Angela-Fan. I like the idea, though, of someone performing to it. I found the music on YouTube.

I know this would probably be a bit unusual but I've always loved the song, Guantanamera. I don't recall any skater performing to it, either.
I found several versions on YouTube. My favorite version is by Jose Feliciano. I would love to find a version of him singing Guantanamera without stopping to speak in between the lyrics. His guitar playing is amazing.

Totally fluffy but I think the score from the cheesy chick flick PS I Love You would be something light and cheerful.I'd skate to it!
lol I would suggest the princess diaries waltz that jenny kirk used but I have a feeling Ashley would roll her eyes at that one.
You're kidding me, right...?

Has anyone read Ashley's twitter recently? She's going to California to get her programs choreographed.... Hmm I wonder who it could be.
Plus, she's still deciding on SP music, but apparently she's set for the long (hopefully, she's not using this season's LP again...)
I wonder what she picked. But I guess they like to keep it under wraps. Not necessarily for Ashley, although possible if she wanted to skate to tense, powerful music but I thought the soundtrack of I, Robot was good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm_mwdM8my4

I just posted on another thread about the music from The Fountain of Bakhchisarai for Alissa, as Maria. But Ashley would do fine as the Zamerea)(??-spelling) character. I really liked her ambitious if too-mature-for-her Spartacus effort. Of course, Spartacus is my favorite ballet, or one of them. This is along the same lines. Plus, The Fountain of Bakhchisarai hasn't been used at all for skating that I know, yet it is a fabulous and famous ballet with wonderful music. If anyone knows of its music being used and a Youtube vid available, let me know.
I saw this in FYE and bought it purely because of the case/title:

It was $2 on clearance and filled with overused skating music. What's really funny is that I recognize almost every song on the first CD because they are/were used by skaters at my rink. They all have the same two coaches. I guess they have the same CDs. Great minds think alike.
