    "Harry Balls Building" unlikely

By all accounts, a city will name a building after a former mayor, unless he was forced out of office by scandal. Or.......has an unfortunate name http://www.journalgazette.net/articl...OCAL/302089963 BTW - You remember his brother, the lion tamer, "Claude Baals"? Or his son, the Chippendale Dancer, "Seymour"? I understand he openned a Liquor store once......

Oops! I mistitled the thread, shoulda read 'Baals', hope the mods can fix it.

Is there going to be a "Harry Baals" statue in front of the building?

Yeah, yeah, my hubby told me about this the other day (we're not far from Ft Wayne). Apparently for quite some time they've been pronouncing the family name "bales" (as in bales of hay).

    I love this quote, though:
"I'm glad people want to get involved," she said. "We are having fun with government."
