Amer football is played once a week, ice hockey, basketball and baseball can play multiple games in a week. There is probably some physical reason for the frequency of play. Baseball season is 160 games, amer football is what 18 or 20?? Originally Posted by Buzz

Football is played once a week, whereas the other sports have multiple games during a week. I am not sure what the reason is for that, but even in pop warner leagues I don't believe that football is played more than once a week.
