    Super Bowl or Super Boring?

I gave in and turned on the Super Bowl. I don't really care who wins...going for the Packers since I've lived in Wisconsin. The commercials are entertaining.

Leah Michelle sang America the Beautiful. She did great.

Christina Aguilera sang the National Anthem and screwed it up. Well done, Christina.

    Anyone else have it on?

    I'm watching.

The Audi prison break commercial was hysterical. Car commercials usually suck, so that was a great surprise. Kenny G is always a good punchline.

BBC are showing this live and are having to go back to studio analysts every time there is a commercial break in the US.

Er, why would anyone over yonder want to watch the Super Bowl?

The commercials are usually the best part. The game is usually pretty dull.

And the BBC must be tearing their hair out at all the product endorsements in the US commentary.

No wonder there isn't so much skating on US TV any more. You can't really go to an ad break every two seconds....

    Ex-pats.

Probably my brother who would watch paint drying on the wall if you called it a sport.

The BBC have got somebody called Tiki (sp?) on their panel.

Tiki Barber. He was a running back for the New York Giants and then was a correspondent for one of our major morning shows. He's kind of an interesting guy.

I'm loving the shots of the bored celebrities. You know CZJ is sitting there and thinking "Look at them with their helmets and padding. It's not a real game like rugby is it."

The BBC are doing a highlights show tomorrow night. I guess that means I can safely go to bed.

No one would be willing to buy that much commercial time in skating .

The primary purpose of the Superbowl is to make lots and lots of advertising dollars from companies that spend fortunes for their best commercials of the year.

This is capitalism at its finest .

I have respect for the sport but it is the wrong type of football for me.

I enjoyed the Audi commercial so far...and also the Doritos commercial where Doritos were repairing everything. lol

Glad the Packers are doing good...somewhat looking forward to the Black Eyed Peas at half-time. Can't be any worse than Christina singing the National Anthem

That is one reason I do not watch North American league sports. Because of the numerous breaks and stoppages. Another reason is all that bone crunching just looks too painful to watch.

The commercials so far have been pretty dumb IMO.
