Short update:
Apparently she suffered a small heart attack that Thursday night but since she was treated within 24 hours (and in her case just a mere few hours), any damage should be reversed by the meds they are giving her. She finally got some sleep last night (Friday) and had a bit of breakfast this morning (Sat) and they had her sitting up in her bed. Sometime today she is to be transferred to a room in the medical portion of the building - just down the hallway.
It would seem she is out of the woods for now but she is going to have to make some big changes in her life if she doesn't want a repeat episode any time soon. The smoking will be especially difficult since she lives in a house of smokers - my sister and her two adult children. The only other adult in the house quit smoking just over two months ago when two family members died - one of cancer.

I truly appreciate all the prayers and good thoughts from each of you during this time. It's been a bit of a roller coaster but am hoping things will continue to progress to the point that she is able to return to "home" soon - however complicated that may be with the smoking issue.

PS - if any of the poster of FSU sent me a PM, well it's AWOL because I did a dumb and stupid thing called clearing out my INBOX cause I couldn't access it. The server thought I had too many messages in it because dumbo me forgot to renew my subscription. So to any and all who sent me a PM, my heartfelt thanks even if I didn't get to read them.
