I believe that Ryan B is a college graduate, and, Rachael F is heading to college. Anyone know anything about the educational plans for other Tom Z students?

In this video, 2002 exhibition, skated to Water Fountain, he does the 2A as a sequence, in both directions.
Do you get extra points for both directions in IJS?

You get nothing, other than a level in reversing spins, and you could do a combination that had jumps other than toe loops or loops as the second jump by doing them in the oppositive direction.

And maybe some skating skills respect from judges not dead between the ears.

Tom Zakrajsek and Machiko Yamada coach the same way. They focus too much on jumps.

That nightmare FS is because Josh tore his adductor on a fall on a quad before the short program, being in the emergency room after going into anaphylactic shock from an allergic reaction, not being able to have the pain shot, and breaking his ankle on the 3rd jump of the program and finishing. Nightmare is right, but incredible considering.

He should have withdrew from the event. It really isn't worth it... :/

I think you would satisfy a bullet point or two if you did, say, a 2a (CCW) immediate 3sal (CW). That's a difficult variation or entrance (for the 2nd jump), and if it is "attached to the musical structure," well there's another bullet point
