    The article on the blog said - "Tonya, 39 , is now working to stop drinking and to kick a chain-smoking habit in hopes of delivering a healthy baby.”

    Why would she have to work at doing the right thing for her unborn child? Just stop drinking and smoking.

    Sometimes, for people addicted to cigarettes it is a lot easier said than done. I don't ever remember reading that Tonya was a chronic drinker but because tests show no amount of alcohol is considered safe, even the odd glass of wine/ beer might be of concern to some women.

    I was always more at her smoking with asthma... I will never understand that though...

    Right NOW!!!!....She found out late last spring and desided to keep it secret because she did NOT want the media to bug her and her new husband...

    ( I knew about it since last summer and was asked not to say anything about it intil her fan club was told it was okay to post it in their news letter..It was right before Christmas..)

    You know, regardless of how we feel about Tonya, I think that she deserves some happiness. I hope she and the baby are fine.

    And no, I am not a tonya fan. Just someone who thinks that babies are special.

    It's not just the incident that people talk about when they say they hope Tonya has her stuff together. It's all the run-ins with the law and tabloid-worthy fodder Tonya has consistently found herself in throughout the years. Anyway, even though Nancy came out ok in the end, I don't think it does much service to minimize the severity of her attack. I find that a lot of posters (or fans) tend to do that in order to say its time to forgive Tonya (or to snark at Kerrigan).

    That said, I hope the baby brings her much happiness and peace.
