That may only happen with 7-8 ladies at most, still plenty of room for OAS. 4CC rosters for Men, Pairs and Dance never go higher than the new maxium stablided by ISU for the SP/SD so no need for a quali there.


ETA: I just checked the 4CC entries site. Only 31 ladies, so hopefully there wont be a QR for them either.

Of course, holding an extra event to eliminate 3 skaters is probably going to cost more than the money saved on eliminating them but whatever...

As for Gimatzetdinova, I would imagine that she's only taking part in the Asian Games because they're quite close and other than that she's pretty much retired?

Otherwise, I'd imagine she'd be going to Taipei.

I know, but there's also a rule that says when there's up to 2 more skaters than the maxifum for the SP, the QR can be cancelled. Sure, now we have 3 extra skaters instead of just 2 So I guess this will be a real test for ISU organizers common sense Im not being optimisc about it though

Well for now, Ladies is the only discipline which has "D" listed next to skaters' names. So as it stands, the preliminary round is being planned.

Because it's THREE more skaters and not TWO. Big difference!

I'm part Filipino too, and I root for skaters representing PHI but I'm not anticipating any of them to make it to the final round of Worlds any time soon I'd be making the same statement if one of the other Kazakh, Mongolian, Thai, or Singaporean skaters was in front of Gizmo too.

Anyways, Gizmo is not entered for 4CC, so I guess this was an "out of retirement jsut for fun" ala Ponsero .

Sometimes the OAS ass that gets kicked is her own, but it's not for lack of trying . I hope she's back next season. 4CC just isn't the same without her.
