If you a scroll down on the page, there's a news story that talks about how it got there.

"A grand piano recently showed up on a sandbar in Miami's Biscayne Bay, and no one seems to know who put it there."
So ... that would be a piano bar. A swim-up piano bar in fact.

I read an article about this today. The family's a bunch of idiots - first for destroying the piano by setting it on fire twice when all it needed was a tuneup and cleaning, then for loading it in a boat and leaving it on the shoal. They dumped it there until someone said something, and now they're bragging about it. They should be fined for illegal dumping.

Yes, cool images to see the piano there, but they could have done it with photoshop, lol.

I couldn't agree more. This kid should be punished, not rewarded with all the media attention. I hope the schools he's looking at think really hard about his character.

It sounded like the father was just as much of an idiot.

I'm surprised no one's played the "it's a form of artistic expression" card yet.

I'm not into art for angst, but whatever floats your piano, lol.

If they had permission for the display and plans to remove the junk, then maybe it could be considered artistic. In this case, it was just unneccesaary dumping for the sake of one photo.

Stuff (like that piano) are officially dumped all the time in Biscayne Bay to create reefs. It's not pollution.

Paquin lost interest in piano some time ago, she is more into Vampires these days, good looking ones as well.

Shame on them for littering. However, this begs the question: How do you properly dispose of a grand piano no one wants? Can you take it to the local landfill?

LOL, I read a newspaper article the other day that was talking about changes in sea life over the past few decades, and particularly the decline in "underwater chorals" [sic].

Guess all they need is a piano!
