Explosion at Moscow Airport

Not much news yet. BBC says it was a suicide bomber and at least 10 killed. CNN reporting at least 2 killed. It happened in the baggage claim area.

I don't see where anyone has taken credit (?) for this yet. The below article seems to be the most up to date (it includes the video Cyn linked). Apparently the airports in Russia (transportation, in general) are not beefing up their security as much as would be expected after several past terrorist attacks.

Those poor people who were killed, wounded, or are family members. I sincerely hope they get to the bottom of this and do more to prevent it in the future.

My thoughts (and if I prayed, prayers) go out to the souls lost, their families and friends, as well as the citizens of Russia.

I can only hope that the Russian government is able to track down who is responsible and punish them to the most severe extent possible.

My skating coach's friend in Moscow told him that the news there says that 45 are dead, but I can't confirm that via another source.

CNN and FoxNews both reporting that the death toll has risen to "at least 35:"

According to the article at CNN, there are at least 152 injured, many critically, and the number of dead could "substantially rise."

Just said on BBC that the bomb was packed with screws and ball-bearings. Just wicked.

FoxNews (linked above) updated their report, adding the following:

Russian news agencies reported the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber and law enforcement sources told the Interfax news agency a head found at the site appears to belong to the bomber.

"We found the head of a man of Arab appearance, aged 30-35. It seems he detonated the explosive device," said the source.

I heard it on my car radio while driving to work. At that time they did not have any details. Now I am reading on CNN that 35 were killed and 152 were injured. That's horrible.
