Who is Oprah?
I think Oprah has known about this for longer than she is letting on...
If you were rich, like Oprah, would you automatically pony up money to your new 1/2 sister?
How's the O network doing that kicked off January 1? I don't get that channel.
Big secret? She is preparing to pony-up the money that it will take to buy the Illinois Supreme Court for Rahm Emanuel.
Ashley Wagner - America's Champion and PRIDE. How sweet it is!
It seem the birth mother really didn't want to br found. How was this woman able to find out anyway?

Is Oprah's mother still alive? if so, how's she taking this?
Sorry, I didn't read the link, not an Oprah fan but still mildly curious.![]()
True -- Rahm is more likely to give people dead fish than money.

I'm not exactly an Oprah fan. I'm not really into talk shows. But, whether or not a fan, Oprah is an amazing human being. She has done remarkable things with her money. I have a lot of respect for her.
so what is her secret? I always thought she had too much make up on.. maybe she is a man? a drag queen?
She has a half sister. The sister has known since 2007 that Oprah was her sister, but never went public with it.

Sounds like this woman is Oprahs 1/2 sister thru her mother. From what I read earlier, the 1/2 sister knew that she had two 1/2 siblings that died, and that she had a 1/2 sister who was being raised by her father in Tennessee. She tried contacting her birth mother, but she refused contact. Then, she saw Oprahs mother doing an interview, and describing the same family situation (2 departed sibs, daughter in Tennessee). She then contacted a cousin of Oprahs and they did DNA.
If I find where I read this earlier, I'll post the link.
ETA: no need for me to look... the post above mine has all the details.
Erm.... I got nothin'
But my point is that the mother clearly did not want to be found, for whatever reason. What are the rights these days for parents who give up kids for adoption? Obviously this woman was able to circumvent that by finding a cousin to provide DNA, but I just wonder if the mother is allowed to keep refusing contact.

And Whitney Houston…
Have you ever seen Kathy Griffin's bit where she imitates Oprah interviewing Whitney Houston? (the part I'm talking about doesn't start until 5:30, but it's worth the wait)
