Are you saying the skaters doing the Y-spin is not Kwan... you fooled me, I admit it...

I remember a Oksana/Pasha Grishuk piece (during the '98 Olympics I think) where it was strongly implied she was copying Oksana Baiul, right down to Baiul's "The Feeling Begins" music from her exhibition. I think Pasha/Oksana called Baiul 'a criminal' in the piece which cracked me up. On the other hand, don't know if Oksana Baiul has ever been accused of adulterous affairs with married men ala Pasha...
Many thought Vasiliev tried to make TT/MM out of MM/MT, esp. their first year together.
Some find a lot of similarity between Crone/Poirier and Duchesnay team this season.
Didn't people think that Joubert had stolen Yagudin's style at some point?
Sarah Hughes' re-worked ending to her Oly LP was totally a rip-off of Kwan's Sher that year. She stole it after seeing it work for MK at '02 Nats.

I think I remember that there was some N. Korean skater who attempted copying Yagudin's Man in the Iron Mask move for move.
No there was a chinese skater with the otonal music in Gp, i dont remember his name.
Hanyu doesnt remind me of Weir except for costume design maybe which was Weir's.
With and Yagudin Joub I used to find the Morozov steps similar, but nothing else, although last year's sp from costume to choreo was reminding a lot MITIM. Especially the sphere thing and the beginning.
Appearance wise there was a period where it looked like Kristin Fraser was copying Tanith.
Not really a style but a program...

I honestly don't think Weir's programs are that much like Galindo's.
Last year, I thought Pernelle Carron and Lloyd Jones' (can't remember if it was the OD or FD, but I think FD) resembled Bourne and Kraatz's Riverdance a bit too much.
I also think maybe Coomes and Buckland were trying to channel B & K at some points.
I think that is kind of crazy for a skater to say someone stole their style. Who said they own it?
As far as Rudy coming out during his competitive career, I don't remember that. I remember he dodged the subject during interviews after he won '96 nationals saying that wasn't relevant to his skating. He was castigated for it in the gay press. He then came out publicly. However, at that point he was 26 and it was pretty much a given that he would retire after that season.
LOL
Brian Joubert and Alexei Yagudin.
Romain Ponsart and Brian Joubert...
Wow! I had never seen that video! But Linichuk did their choreography too! And she gave Huang & Zheng DomShab's waltz too this yearNot really a style but a program...

Running out of ideas maybe?
I thought so too, especially when Fraser/Lukanin skated to Shadrista in 07-08.
