She does look great, but I feel kind of bad. To me, she looks like an Asian version of Vanna White.

    I agree, Michelle looks gorgeous!

Getty Images also has pictures of Michelle and Figure Skating Hall of Fame member, Vera Wang. Vera and her husband, Arthur Becker, look fantastic.

The Kween looks amazing and confident!

Very sweet of B. D. Wong to bring his mother, who I am sure must have been thrilled to attend, but it would have been interesting and rather timely if he and his partner (who, I guess, stayed home with their child) could have attended.

Fantastic photos and Michelle looks great...even though she seemed to have not received the memo that State Dinners are formal...as in: long gown. Did any woman beside Michelle wear a short cocktail dress?

Well, I'm glad that it was MICHELLE and not MICHAELE (Salahi) at this State Dinner!

Yes they did. Evidently the Chinese delegation specifically requested an "all-American" dinner. Here's the menu. It all sounds delicious -- but I'd pass on the creamed spinach!

Michelle also attended the state luncheon -- an article about that, also with a menu.

Seems like someone at Reuters can't tell their Michelle's from one another. What a goof!

Yes, Anna Wintour did. I think that Michelle was being very diplomatic in wearing a semi-formal outfit -- she wanted to make President Hu Jintao feel comfortable about his own less than formal attire. That Michelle -- always so diplomatic.

Yes, it looks like a Leger's bandage dress that many Hollywood starlets seem to favor these days. I like that Michelle's dress is neither too tight nor too Hollywood.

Michelle looks stunning. Shades of 'Fields of Gold'. It's so cool that whenever Chinese dignitaries visit the US, we get to see the Kween at her most tiffed ...and lots of other great Chinese Americans, too!

Vera looks like she stole the crypt keeper title from Peggy Fleming.

Yeah, I was wondering if he was still with whoever he was with.

Michelle's is the picture posted on the Washington Post's gossip site about the dinner.

Vera Wang is actually a good dresser in real life, she rocks a lady-like look. But she wears a lot of watercolor colors which makes her look washed-out. As for fashion designers who can't dress themselves to save their lives, that title belongs to Miuccia Prada, she's famous for not even trying and admitting it.

I can't wait until the day when Michelle Kwan hosts a WH formal dinner party herself...and not as a First Lady!

Oh boo, it actually has quite a few things I don't like: goat cheese, glazed carrots and onions in buttermilk (how on earth are they crisp in buttermilk? ) Good thing I wasn't invited .

Some of this sounds rather simple but I am sure it was impeccably executed.
