I enjoyed this interview with Yuka Sato at Trophée Eric Bompard and thought she had interesting things to say about Kozuka's development as a performer and her coaching of Abbott and Czisny: http://absoluteskating.com/interviews/2011yukasato.html

Nice article. I see a great future for Yuka and Jason as coaches.
Your program sucks and your partner just fell: lay down and play dead or think Feck this and do a Th3A at the end of the program: Aliona Savchenko: Definition of a competitor
Thanks for sharing.
The skaters who work with Yuka are very fortunate.
Yuka sounds like a great coach and a great person.

Great article...I remember having the chance to meet her briefly a couple years ago, and she comes off as very thoughtful and intelligent. It'll be so great to see Alissa and Jeremy on top at the National champs.
Great interview. I heart Yuka, and am so glad that she has been working with Taka, Jeremy, and Alissa.
Brava, Reut, for the interview! And thank you, Sylvia, for cross- posting.
The word which pops into mind while reading about the Sato family is "wisdom".
I think Yuka Sato is poised to be the next great coach, and I am rooting for her all the way.
Very interesting observations about Takahiko! I absolutely love his skating, and it was curious to me to see that they do not perceive him as " balletic', because his body awareness is just beautiful. I am looking forward to seeing him put his personality more and more forward. I also hope Yuka choreographes for him again- his SP's 2008/9 and 2009/10 were divine.

That was an excellent interview. Thank you for posting.
What the hell is a Ninja Twizzle? Does it have anything to do with hard shelled aquatic life forms that live in the sewer?
Yuka sounds like a very nice professional skating teacher.
Loved the links to pictures where she is standing next to her dad at practices.
Man, she really hasn't aged at all.
Great interview and really interesting!
Great interview reut! Thanks for all of your work covering skating.
As if I could like Yuka any more, she goes and gives this insightful interview.![]()
