    Double bummer...

    1) I thought he was great in Jurassic Park II

    2) He is my age...

I just saw it on Yahoo.

He was one of the best. What a loss. And only 64?

    He'll be missed.

Yikes. Wow, that's really sad. I remember first seeing him in In The Name of the Father when I was 13.

    How sad

I remember him fondly from Brassed Off and James and the Giant Peach. I'm so bummed right now.

    RIP

He's a great actor, and In the Name of the Father is a tremendous film. He'll be missed. He was a familiar face in so many films.

Sad. My younger son was just watching The Usual Suspects yesterday.
I think Postlewhite was good in every part I saw him play. These roles keep him alive in our minds.

Wow - that's sad He was a brilliant actor. He was the only one in Romeo and Juliet (the Luhrman version) who seemed to have any idea what he was saying and has been generally brilliant in everything else too.

So good in so many things... he was totally crazy as Hakeswell in the Sharpe's series, and so wonderful in In the Name of the Father.

    RIP sir

Sad news indeed, although I hadn't been aware that he'd been sick.

I was surprised to learn that he was 64 -- I would have guessed older. All that character in his wonderful face and voice, I guess.

I think The Butterfly Collectors was my favourite role of his, with Brassed Off a close second. But he brought such integrity to every role he took on, I can't think of a bad performance from him.

    RIP, Pete.
