As for the LP, I like her footwork for Tango. It's so difficult and now I understand why Yu-Na said this was the most difficult program for her.
Although I want to see the culmination of what she's trying to express, I just wish her to stay healthy and to enjoy the moment at her last Olympic at Sochi.

Thank you David as always for giving her such beautiful programs!

Are you sure these are her last Olympics? I thought she may want to skate in the 2018 Oly since they are in her country?

We may get to see her SP at worlds also, so this may not be the last time.

I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed Sochi will be her last competition.

q and a: credit to inspiration (ynk forum)

    * It has been 4 years since the Vancouver Oly. This is going to be my second and final Olympics. I will endeavor to skate my best so that I would be happy in the end.

    * I will also enjoy this Olympic experience with HJ and SY.

    * Thoughts on Yulia and the judging:

FS sport is fundamentally founded upon judging system, and plus, there's no guarantee that a skater could skate her best on a given date. If I could happy with my performance (at Sochi), I will accept whatever the result. I heard about these Russian up-and-comers. For Yulia, it is her first Olympics and she has just debuted as senior. And the Olympics are taking place in Russia, so I hope she enjoys her experience as a good beginning of her career. Unlike her, I am in a different stage, my final competition. I'd not occupy my mind with the judging and other external factors that I cannot control, and I will focus on what I can and should do.

    * Since this is a competition. I will put aside my feelings about the Olympics being my final stage for now, and focus on doing well at the Olympics.

    * Though I'm older than the other two, going to the Olympics with HJ and SY feels great and eases my mind as I've been training with them together.

    * I cannot go to the village b/c my personal trainer cannot stay with me.

    *Thoughts on the team event:
To me, even skating a short program in a competition is quite stressful and demanding. I think it would be tough to skate at singles events after the team event, though there might some upside of adjusting to the main rink earlier. Since I didn't participate in the team event, my prep will go as usual. No major changes to my prep plans.

    * Since the Nationals, I've been focusing on refining my choreography and prefecting my programs for my last performance.

    * It takes lots of efforts to stay healthy, not dealing with injury. My physical conditions are pretty good now, and it is important not to pressure myself with burdening thoughts.

    * Until the SP event, I plan to follow the official practice schedule. One day break once as usual. I will do some off-ice training as well.

I hope she saves us from this craziness, she really is the queen and it's high time the queen showed these wonder-kids how it's really done. I can't wait for the ladies competition.

Yuna had her Olys so she really doesn't care what she gets here. She is probably the only asian skater with a real good shot at the podium.

You had better hope that Mao doesn't bring it, or else you are going to look very foolish.

Look,I was a big fan of MAO *before* she turn again into an *inconsistent skater*. Leaving Tarasova who helped her become more *focus* and *aggressive* on the ice was a huge mistake, but that's MY opinion. I really thought she was going to be the *overwhelming favorite* after her great performance in vancouver and worlds, instead, she went back to her *comfort zone* and unfortunately, that's not going to be enough in this very deep field. She has more skaters than Yuna and JULIA to worry about. Mao better live up to *her* expectations whatever they are. I only hope she does my fave composer Rachmananov JUSTICE,that's all LOL!

    Scott Hamilton:

"Yulia is the big star of Russia right now," said Scott Hamilton, the 1984 Olympic champion, "but she may not look as big when you put her on the ice with a focused Yuna."

SkateGods, did you hear this? I think this works in Mao's favor.

I think everyone knows that Yuna is still the favorite to win the OGM. The reason we haven't heard of her much is that she has not been around, competing. Once she is on the ice- even in practices- she is going to be the one everyone will be watching as the likely OGM winner.

Yeah! It will be nice if she can make history.
