    Unmentioned!

    Full text in Korean.

    Rough translation.

Since Vancouver Winter Olympics, I couldn't find the higher goal as a skater. OTOH, fans and whole country paid more attention to me. To be honest, I hoped I could lighten the burden just for a one day if possible. My every interview and every single activity had been reported, aired and commented. I just felt I took a step backward.

It was a precious time for me the past year I skipped whole skating season. At Taereung Training Center, I intended to help and advice younger skaters but it was me to be helped. I got motivated by them watching their training and skating. I believed it would be enough "Lower the bar and set a goal 'Figure skating only for myself.'". And I thought it would be a great pity sooner or later if I gave up now.

Now I'll start with a clean slate. Hope you all treat me not a Vancouver OGM but just a member of Korean National Figure Skating TEAM. I'll retire after Sochi Olympic Games. It was Vancouver though, when I was a child. I am starting another journey to bring myself a successful conclusion at Sochi. It carries another important meaning to be a member of IOC Athletes Commission that I dreamed and was interested in during the PyeongChang Olympics bidding. Now I am starting to end well my 18 years skating life there then.

^ She must have worked on her programs. No media means very confidential works!

BTW I've just found a wonderful fan-made art for Yuna's Scheherazade which was uploaded on Youtube in 2009. It's basically fast sketching throughout and very, very impressive!

The lines of this drawing and of Yuna's are both exquisite

Anyone has any pennies on which senior B event Yuna's likely to attend?

I've narrowed it down to these two below since I hear that Korean Nationals are scheduled to be held on early January:

    ZAGREB Golden Spin of Zagreb
    13-16 December 2012
    or
DORTMUND NRW Trophy Single & Pairs
    5-10 December 2012?

Carolina will skate at Golden Spin, so if Yuna chooses this event it'll be VERY interesting to see their duels.
If it's NRW Trophy, the schedule intensively overlaps with that of GPF in Sochi, so it'll be also interesting in a different way

    What do you guys think?

I am sure this is a really dumb question......but...why is the reigning OGM going to a Senior B event?
DH - and that's just my opinion

IIRC, Yuna reasoned that she wasn't invited from any grand prix event. Yuna also added that even if she was invited, she wouldn't have participated in one because she knows she wouldn't be ready in time for a grand prix event. Plus, because of the new minimum TES rule required to be able to compete at major ISU events, Yuna must attend some competition before 4cc or Worlds to obtain those scores.

This is how Korean fans celebrated Yuna's birthday. They gave Yuna amazing, truly amazing gifts and donated to charity organizations including UNICEF. Wow

The moment it is announced which senior B she is competing in, expect all the flights from Korea to that event to sell out!

Louis Vuitton, dedicated the special order skate trunk to "Queen" Yuna Kim.

On 15 Oct, Louis Vuitton hold the handover ceremony at Louis Vuitton Golbal, Chung-Dam and presented the special order skate trunk to her.

The project, suggested by Louis Vuitton, was all for Yuna Kim, well known for her social contribution activities as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, etc. It took 9 months to make since last January Yuna and Louis Vuitton had a meeting and discussion personally on the size fitted for Yuna's skates and functional design.

Louis Vuitton plan to produce the same trunks next year, sell them by auction with Yuna's autographed skates and donate all the proceeds to UNICEF.

Yuna Kim said "I appreciate Louis Vuitton's love and attention on figure skating." and added "It's such an honor to take the wonderful skate trunk with a lot of effort over the long haul and thank you the more for the meaningful activity to donate UNICEF by the charity auction."
Picture of the skate trunk & Yuna or use this rink.
