It was filmed during UN Peace Day events. She says even UNICEF is doing what they can do for now but a lot needs to be done, and that your donation can save the Horn of Africa.

A little flashback - Perhaps Mr. Rogge was already expecting Yuna to become an ambassador for IOC events? http://i.imgur.com/4PASp.jpgIOC President Jacques Rogge said: “To have such a dedicated, gifted and internationally renowned athlete to mentor the athletes going to Innsbruck 2012 is fantastic news. Yuna is an outstanding Olympic champion, setting a new world record in winning her gold medal in Vancouver last year. Yu-Na Kim: From the Heart
By SUSAN D. RUSSELL
http://www.ifsmagazine.com/articles/...from-the-heart
“I want to perform a more diverse range of characters and show great performances for everyone,” she explained. “Also, although it might be difficult, I want to be able to skate with less pressure about results and medals.”
Kim’s accomplishments on and off the ice have earned her worldwide respect, but fame and fortune have not changed her. She remains the same down-to-earth person she always was. “Where I am now was a dream that was always inside my heart, but I did not imagine that it could really come true,” she said.
“Over the years, I have been both surprised and proud as I saw myself getting closer to achieving my dreams. I often now think to myself, ‘Yes, I knew I could do it.’
“However, I am only human and there are times when I go through a rough phase which makes me doubt my successes. But I push myself to overcome those challenges. I tell myself that I am a lucky person.
"I have accomplished everything that any athlete in the world could ever dream of.”

great article!

I like this quote.
Of all her great programs, IMO her signature piece was Lark Ascending. She never did it clean or won Worlds with it, but it’s still my favorite, even more so than her clean Miss Saigon, Danse Macabre or Gershwin. It would be great to see more programs from her, either in show skating or in competition. Her winning more is not important to this fan as she’s done more than enough for her fans already.

WoW!!!YuNa goes to Washington!
Korean President Lee visits US and is invited to a lunch in Department of State, where US vice President will attend with Hillary Clinton. YuNa has been invited to this lunch with Michelle Kwan. The time is 1 pm on 13th (US eastern time).
Yuna said that she once received a congratulation letter from Mrs. Clinton right after her Olympic victory - then Yuna wrote her back her handwriting letter, too- and this time she will have the honor of meeting and telling her "thank you" in person.
I have no idea even if there is as thing as "limit" to this lady!
and of course, Michelle WILL BE THERE!!
