Say,I've been wondering about this. But do we know of any famous Ice-Dancers who actually got their start with using someone for a Partner at a Public Skate? Are there any too who actually have FOUND their Partner they compete with AT a Public Skate?

I don't think too many competitive ice dance partnerships start out at a public skate, since most people who are serious about ice dancing are looking at other serious ice dancers. And you definitely won't be finding serious ice dancers at public skates. But everyone has to start somewhere, so there are probably lots of competitive ice dancers who started their skating careers on public skates....
