OK, I'll be frank, peeps. I can't vote since I'm in the US, so if anyone would be willing to send in a few votes for me, I would appreciate it (we can talk about later). I know, it's just a TV show and I've never gotten invested in DWTS, but then again SCD is sooo much better and it's been great entertainment this year. Lots of great dancing and fun. Did I say great dancing? But don't take my word for it.
There are 5 pairs left. It's semi-finals this weekend and 2 pairs are going to be eliminated at once. I have 2 favorite pairs, I hope it's not going to be them! Here there are:
Matt Baker & Aliona Vilani:
Matt grew up on a sheep farm (maybe that's his secret ). He's a TV presenter (Countryfile and The One Show on BBC) and occasionally an Olympic commentator. He used to be on Blue Peter, a children's TV program, and now many who grew up watching it are confused by the feelings he has aroused in them with his dancing. He has this quiet understated sensuality of Colin Firth. Until he steps on the dance floor, that is.
Cha cha cha "I don't class myself as Mr. Lovah-Lovah." Comment on YouTube: "Matt Baker = Hott Damn" Seriously, look at those hips, lookat'em!
Quickstep "If there's anything that's going to trip me up, it's going to be quickstep."
Charleston Wow, just wow.
Viennese Waltz "I don't know how such a beautiful dance can make you feel so sick."
Samba Starts great and ends even better.
Jive I'm not really sure why they have themes on SCD like they do on AI, so Movie Week I wasn't so sure about. Matt completely went for it, though, and I laughed all through it. The beginning is just amazing (just how brave do you have to be to do that??), the rest is fun fun fun. He's completely engrossed himself in it, up to his face expressions. Shagadelic, baby, yeah! "I don't think anyone has ever barked at the end of their routine, either."
