So sad..
So sad..
I checked the news around 9:30am MST, and all it said was the doctors have given her only a few months to live. From what I am reading now (around 3:30pm MST), she had already passed away at 10:30amEST, which would have been 8:30am here. I guess they took some private family time before announcing it to the rest of the world. I am sad for them all.
God bless her and her kids.![]()
This news has truly saddened me as she was a very brave woman - who took all that life threw at her and came through it with a quiet courage and strength that many others could well learn from.
RIP Elizabeth Edwards. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends tonight.
RIP, Elizabeth. Condolences to her family and friends.
How Elizabeth Edwards found the strength to take on everything life had thrown at her, we would never know. RIP.
What a courageous person.
My deepest sympathies to her family and friends.
RIP, Elizabeth.
May she rest in peace. Elizabeth Edwards fought the good fight for a long time. Condolences to her family and friends. May her children be given strength and support -- especially the youngest two.
Very sad to hear this news. She was a brave, strong woman.
RIP Elizabeth Edwards
My heart goes out to her family, in particular her children.![]()
Poor kids.
She certainly fought hard and long against this evil, evil thing called Cancer. Factor in everything else and I think anyone else would have had a breakdown at some point, but not Elizabeth. She was one *very* strong and courageous lady who will be missed by her Family and Friends.
May she rest in peace.![]()
Her youngest is the same age as my second son, only 10 years old, so young to lose your mother...![]()
RIP dear Elizabeth.
She did a guest spot on the Nate Berkus Show that aired just last week or so talking of her love of caring for her home and style with decorating. He had gone to her home over the summer and she still looked pretty good. However once the interview was being broadcast, she did a satellite interview from her home and you could easily see the rapid weight loss and weight loss. She mentioned she was using a new chemotherapy drug and was really weak.
As they went through the home, you could hear the saddness and aching in her voice over the loss of the relationship and marriage but not any of the outright anger or accusations. She seemed at peace with whatever was to come; still had hopes for treatment to give her more time and yet knowing that there would never be enough time.
I hope that her children find peace in the knowledge that their Mother was an amazing and accomplished woman all on her own. She came across as a woman of strength and character with an amazing amount of dignity.
Rest In Peace, Elizabeth

My sympathies to the Edward's family. They are in my prayers tonite.
RIP Elizabeth
She fought against the disease for such a long time in the midst of all the craziness around her. And she handled it with class. May her body and soul rest in peace.
My dad died in March of colon cancer that metastasized to the liver and lungs. Watching him go through chemo and radiation therapy was unbearable.
My prayers go out to the children.
Shocked to see this news, as she'd just announced that she probably had a few months to live. Glad she could be surrounded by family and friends (erm, Mr Edwards, too??), but sorry her last few years were clouded by the hell that her husband caused.
(((wnstnluv))) So sorry for your loss.
She was a great lady, and the strongest and most brave I have ever seen.
RIP
