    There'll apparently be some sort of pro routine tonight. Mel Lambert (Fred Palascak's wife) and Matt Gonzales are skating in it according to Mel's twitter.

    Brooke Castille has just been taken to the hospital. Jonny kicked her and one finger is sliced to the bone. TMZ reports that she still wants to skate!

    He barely picks his feet up off the ice. How did he kick her finger? But seriously, it stinks to hear they are having such problems on the day of the show. Hopefully everyone is okay enough to skate.


    Edited to say nevermind, I just watched the video of it... She fell and that must be when he nicked her in the finger. He didn't seem to notice though and kept skating by himself.

    The acapella show starts tonight as well. Same time on NBC. I'll be switching back and forth.

    I'm curious about how this show will deal with someone who can't skate due to injury or illness. How does Dancing with the Stars handle such issues?
    Today is Doomsday. Alternate side of the street parking will be in effect.

    If Johnny skated over Brooke's finger, I'm glad that all that happened is that it was sliced to the bone. It could have been worse. I hope she recovers well! Ouch!

    It won't be hard, they are already stretching 10 minutes of skating into a 90-minute broadcast.

    They could do a double elimination next week. They have a finite amount of time.

    DWTS used rehearsal footage for Melissa Rycroft when she had hurt her ribs. They typically film the dress rehearsals and some of the others that are on the sound stage.

    I could see them doing something similar with Skating with the Stars. They obviously film some of the rehearsals, as we have been shown that footage before.
