As I'd mentioned a few times before, I've been trapping stray cats in my neighborhood to get them spayed and neutered. However, my landlady threatened to evict me earlier this week if I continued to do so.(I've only done 3 coming through my backyard, but there were still a few in the parking lot I had wanted to fix.)
BUT, there's another way I/everyone can help! FixNation, the clinic where I was getting the cats fixed for free, is in the running to win $50,000 from Pepsi to continue their mission!

FixNation is the ONLY place in Los Angeles where people can take in feral cats to get spayed or neutered for free. It's hard work for everybody (I'm certainly not a happy camper having to get up at 6am to get them there in time for their appointments) but everybody's willing to put in the work for the kitties!
They were super-duper helpful in making me feel like I could trap those wily cats, haha. I've never met people more sincerely concerned about their well-being.

So now I'm the bad guy in all this. I was really mad/disappointed about it last week but I've gotten over that. Now I'm looking forward to the future and what I can do to help. I even volunteered to learn how to use my newly-acquired sewing machine and make more trap covers for FixNation, as well as voting for them here.
